The Salted Black Beans used in Chinese cuisine are often used with chicken but they also pair very nicely with shellfish. Here, I have stir-fried them along with shrimp, scallop, and sweet green bell peppers, with just a very simple sauce. The result is very tasty and the process extremely simple…
The Ingredients
- 1/2lb. medium Shrimp, peeled and deveined;
- 1/2lb. small Scallops;
- 1 small Green Bell Pepper, in large dice;
- 1 ½ Tbsp. Salted Black Beans, rinsed and coarsely chopped;
- 1 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce;
- 2 Tbsp. Rice Wine;
- 1 tsp. Soy Sauce;
- ½ tsp. Sesame Oil;
First, add a tablespoon or so of oil to your pan over high heat and add the green pepper pieces followed by the salted black beans. Saute for a minute or so until the peppers are glossy and just starting to soften slightly.
Now add the scallop and shrimp and continue stir-frying just until the shrimp are pink.
Finally, add the remaining ingredients and cook for just a minute or so until the sauce is bubbling and slightly thickened. Plate and serve immediately.
Beautiful 🙂
